Yoga & Philosophy in the Ecological Emergency

Looking forward to seeing you at the Glore Mill for Yoga, Rest, Walk, Listen, Create – full retreat day 24th June 2023

The labyrinths having just been strimmed

A couple of weeks ago, I spent three days at the mill in the most astonishing heat, cleaning while Joseph strimmed the labyrinths. Ray, whose place it is, is away and unable to travel back from the States at the moment so that’s been a big concern because normally he would be living there. All is well and it looks fantastic. We can’t control the weather but everything is ready for us. I’ve used natural cleaning products and essential oils so it smells fantastic!

For the first time in a very long time, I’ve had to turn people away as there’s been a high demand for this retreat. I’ll post pictures afterwards, give you a review of what we covered (I’ve uploaded a shortened version of two of the sessions on Soundcloud.

I will organise another retreat in August and will have a waiting list. There’s no pressure if you can’t make it but I do need to know soon! I’ll talk to the participants in this one about dates.

“When one displays buddha mudra with one’s whole body and mind, sitting
upright in this samādhi for even a short time, everything in the entire dharma world
becomes buddha mudra, and all space in the universe completely becomes awakening.”

A mudra is a posture. It is also an attitude. Non-dualism is the concept of two phenomena that are not in fact two. Like Hydrogen and Oxygen combined, water is emergent. Consciousness too emerges. Awareness, however, like attitude, is something deeper, and more mysterious. Awareness, the buddha mudra, is everywhere, all the time.
