Yoga, philosophy and listening for a change:
a course for those with yoga experience
- Yoga asana tailored to individual needs. Focus on connecting with your connective tissue. (45m per class approx);
- Connecting yoga asanas with philosophy (loving wisdom in action). Deepen your embodied awareness (incorporated in asana practice);
- Yoga pranayama to increase your ability to practice realisation without effort (10-15m per class);
- Short yoga nidra to explore the deeper layers of your own mindset (15-20m per class).
Cost per course: €50 for six weeks, payable at the start of the course
Dates: Tues 24th May-28th June 7.30pm-8.45pm (TBC)
Venue: provisionally Christ Church upstairs vestry, Fermoy (TBC)
Requirements:
- some yoga experience is necessary – I will not be teaching the postures per se, but if you are new to yoga, please contact me to discuss how you might benefit from my teaching;
- please bring your own yoga mat, and any props (belts and blocks, bolsters, eye pillow, blankets) you need for the practice. I recommend at minimum a mat, belt and blanket (which can double as a meditation cushion). A towel is not a suitable substitute for a mat;
- please wear yoga clothing, sports shorts and T-shirts are adequate substitutes, bare feet are necessary and if you have foot health issues, a pair of yoga socks can be used;
- please leave all your equipment in the designated area to avoid cluttering the room, and please avoid single use plastic: invest in a reusable drinking container.
